Licensed Professional Counselor
Accepting New Clients
Jody works with children, adults, and families navigating anxiety, overwhelming emotions, relationship concerns, school or life transitions, and difficult or traumatic experiences. She uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while building the skills to move toward what matters most to them.
With a background in mentoring, community-based rehabilitation, classroom instruction, and school counseling, Jody understands that behavior often communicates a need. She strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients feel heard and supported. She has also earned certificates as a Sand Tray Specialist and Play Therapy Specialist through Northwest Nazarene University. For children who may not yet have the words to explain what they’re experiencing, play and sand tray offer other ways to explore and express themselves.
Are you struggling with worry, overwhelming emotions, relationships, or a major change? Is your child having a hard time with friendships, school, or something they can’t quite put into words? Jody meets each client where they are, adapting her approach to their age, needs, and goals.
You don’t have to figure everything out alone. Jody will help you recognize the strengths you already carry and build confidence in taking your next steps.
